“November 2, 2019. Copenhagen, Denmark. The Guardian Research Network Cancer Clinical Research Data Warehouse advances Real-World Data (RWD) studies in Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

The Guardian Research Network Cancer Data Warehouse has made major contributions to the advancement of clinical trials and clinical observation studies using cutting-edge data technology to better understand Acute Myeloid Leukemia. In a study sponsored by Medidata Solutions, results were presented that showed Randomized Control Trial Subjects and data from GRN RWD were consistently similar, especially in terms of mortality as measured by extreme quartile risk ratio (EQRR) and median to mean risk ratio (MMRR), revealing values of 4.3 versus 4.1, and 1.5 versus 1.4 for RCT versus RWD, respectively.

Subpopulations were also examined and showed differences, including showing that transfusion dependence revealed shorter time-to-death in the RCT population, but comparable magnitudes of relative benefit for transfusion-independent patients.

This work helps to lay the groundwork for RWD in regulatory decision-making, and especially in therapeutic development studies requiring AML RWD.”
